Self Suspended III

I seem to be a little hooked on these stary, spotty abstract dreamscapes right now. I took work in progress photos of the latest one, and then strung them together into a kind of time lapse video. I made a silly mistake with the camera settings in my excitement, so the quality isn't as good as I would have hoped, but hopefully still interesting.

I finally got to taking a decent photo of this - a near impossible feat as its got so much texture and also matte and glossy areas, all of which I wanted to capture. We've had so much yukky weather since I finshed this, but happily today a little warm but not overpowering sun has allowed me to take it out on an easel and take some snaps.

What's Inspiring Me Today,,,

I was in a lovely little interiors boutique in Crieff on Saturday (Damson, in King Street - http://www.damsongifts.com/) and my magpie eye was drawn by some One Button jewellery, a brand that I hadn't come across before - lovely sparkly vintage-esque pieces along side very bright, bold, chunky, graphic statement items. The whole thing was like a rainbow coloured and paste embedded breeze through my mind!...

I'm realising increasingly that I want to wear fashion thats like the art I like, and look at art thats got a bit of what I like in fashion about it. Interesting!

Oh I tried all sorts of landscapes on day 33 but nothing was hitting the mark - the snow and sky were so close in colour it was a bit beyond my patience levels that day. So I did what any self respecting 365-er would do - take a stupid self portrait! (I am leaping BTW, there's no shadow to tell as there was no light!!)

Took a quick drive after the school run to one of the local disused WW2 RAF bases as the winter light was doing funky stuff. Sadly by the time I got there the sun was getting clouded over mainly, but the frost still looked interesting... I'll definitely be coming back witha game plan for better shots!
