A Poem - Within / Without
I wrote this a while back and forgot to post it. Its on the theme of conflict - well and a whole host of other stuff too.
Within / Without
Sometimes when someone hurts you,
and you feel under attack,
it's easier to put up the battle wall
and shoot a few arrows back
than to take a close look at your wound
and wonder why the hurt's so deep.
Far easier to shout from the turret
than meet the enemy in the keep.
And sometimes in the fall out
and debate of blame and fault
You may find the wound was already there
the incident was just the salt.
